Kingsmead is a collection of 8 high quality apartments and one bungalow. The scheme commenced in June 2020 with the Bungalow finishing within a few months and selling immediately after “off plan”, which the Funders were pleased to witness.  The rest of the scheme overcame the many challenges associated with the supply chain following Brexit and Covid which had a significant impact not only from delays, but shortage of labour and the hyperinflation we saw in the industry. We finished the scheme in early August 2023 one year later than anticipated.  However, they were worth waiting for. While the Help to Buy Scheme and our key market was removed, we have seen shoots of recovery in the sales arena with the flats proving popular.  We will also keep a number of these flats in our CARM portfolio and these will be the jewels  of the portfolio, particularly those with the boutique walk in showers ensuites, expansive mirrors and free standings baths.

The 8 apartments are situated in a new traditional masonry-built apartment block. The internal fittings are to a specification that will not be found in any other developments. The quality of the materials and the workmanship begin as soon as you walk into the building, with the art deco feel to the communal staircase and the highest quality vinyl plank flooring.

The apartments combine style with functionality. They are all fitted with fire rated doors, which are encased in highly decorative skirtings and architraves expertly fitted in the most elegant style. The high-quality vinyl planking runs throughout the apartments and is softened in the bedrooms with luxury fitted carpets. The kitchens are designer German kitchens, and the quality of these kitchens is complimented by the high-end Siemens built in appliances. The bathrooms offer a boutique feel with their level access showers, modern tiling and concealed luxury fittings. The internal walls are spray finished and this gives a super smooth feel to all the walls and compliments the luxury Italian designer doors. All the apartments are super light and bright with all the apartments having aluminium bi-fold doors opening on to outside space.

The main building is constructed in a traditional brick and block cavity and all the floors are solid concrete, super well insulated and all the apartments come with underfloor heating. This allows the new homeowners to push their furniture right up to the walls and not have to worry about blocking radiators. The specially crafted brick allows the site to sit seamlessly in the street and again is proof of the fact that we only use the highest quality materials, and these are fitted to an exceptional level quality that makes our new homes feel like something truly special.
